Things That Go Bump In A Canadian Night - Helping Ghosts
A Guide to Understanding Lost Spirits - A book by Louis Charles
by Ronald Wolf
There rarely comes a book that makes you think and rethink about your
paranormal beliefs. Helping Ghosts: A Guide to Understanding Lost
Spirits by author, Louis Charles, is one book that challenges your
way of looking at spirits.
I found the book very different than what I used to read. It is
extremely insightful and makes the reader want to run out and buy a
ghost box. It makes the reader think and re-think about their beliefs
in the paranormal and let the reader ponder.
People who believe in ghosts usually don't think or care about if they
are happy or sad. This book makes the reader understand that these
spirits were at one time real people and might still have emotions.
Charles doesn’t just put words to paper but he gives examples of his
thinking process which is rare in a book. Charles certainly did a lot of
research for the book. What I also liked about the book is that it was
easy to follow. He speaks to the reader and not at them which is rare in
today’s publications. It’s a great book that is timeless and I think
anyone who is into the paranormal world should own this book.
Charles went on these investigations himself and not just reported on
them. This book is 208 pages long, but an easy read.
I was very fortunate not only to read his book, but to also have a
interview over the phone with him a few weeks ago.
We shouldn’t fear ghosts but rather help ghosts is the message this book
gets across to the reader.
Ghosts were people at one time. As people we all get lost from time to
time. It may be lost physically or emotionally. Some humans have trouble
finding their way home or finding loved ones.
“Because the paranormal community is so full of fear I just had to write
the book,” said Louis Charles.
"I want the reader to view ghosts from a human perspective. Last October
I felt that I really needed to write this. I wanted the reader to
think," he said. "Helping Ghosts teaches how to communicate with
ghosts, what's going on within the ghost mind, and how we can solve
cases of haunting."
Charles also said that he wanted the reader to enjoy the book but the
paranormal investigator to be challenged as well.
“Not only did I feel compelled to write it as an adventure story but
also as an instruction guide and to inspire people to go out and
experiment.”
“I felt strongly that I needed to become a teacher and get this idea out
there. I feel that by helping others to help ghosts I can multiply the
effort.”
One hot night he witnessed “a perfect shadow of a human form” near his
window. At first he thought it was a shadow of a person or his own
shadow. After further investigations, he concluded that it wasn’t his or
the neighbour's shadow. He surmised that the shadow belonged to
something unknown perhaps that of a ghost and ghosts shouldn’t terrify
people.
“We shouldn’t fear them (ghosts).”
"The idea of showing compassion towards ghosts is something different
for the paranormal community,” he stated.
He also writes about a new item called the Ghost Box. The Ghost box is
another method of communicating with ghosts. It’s not a recorder; it’s a
way for ghosts to communicate with the living.
Will there be follow up to Helping Ghosts?
“There may be another book in me, I don’t know yet.”
Charles is the editor of the in-depth and professional website http://www.angelsghosts.com/ where
you can find hours if not days worth of paranormal information and the
opportunity to purchase and read for yourself just how useful his book
is. To learn more about the book, Helping Ghosts: A Guide to

There are plenty of publications that report on the paranormal and I
only wish I have the time to read all of them and report them in Things
